Personally, I think its gonna happen, and not after I die. Its gonna be during my lifetime. I just wonder what the outcome will be. This article
http://www.gobankingrates.com/investments/us-economy-still-no-1-but-for-how-long/
seems to think it would actually have a positive impact on the economy. Is that your feeling?

It was same to Korea about the issue. One thing I know is that the difference is only terminology. when I used to work for Amway in South Korea as ad man, I found consumer perception of "pyramid" was more negative than that of 'Multilevel" to audience. It may involve with legal or illegal issue as well but not sure about this point. I also wonder how it is different in USA between multilevel and pyramid too.

Hey Shawn thank you for your comment and the info about Stringer. I really didn't know about him, I just can imagine how challenging it is for all the executives in management positions at Japanese companies!
On the other hand, we had a friend that indeed spoke Japanese, in the end It wasn't that bad of an experience, I kind of understand the Japanese as they are more individual, and because a few bad apples spoil the image of the rest. Overall my experience was very satisfying.

Hi Alejandro, Sorry to hear about your experience in Tokyo. I lived there three years from 2005 to 2008 and never faced that problem. However, I speak fluent Japanese and this obviously made the Japanese more comfortable in situations where they may have reacted differently to me if I didn't speak Japanese. I am not saying this was an issue in your situation, but do any of your friends on the trip speak Japanese? The Japanese do stereotype foreigners based on the behaviour by a few bad apples and based on images promoted on TV. But it is much less these days than before. Saying that, Tokyo definitely has a harder edge than the rest of the country. By the way, Sony also has a foreign CEO--Stringer.
Cheers, Shawn
